As custom crafted by me, the wedding ceremony is a celebration of your love. My specialty is designing and performing non-religious or semi-religious ceremonies, written from scratch to reflect your unique view of things...individually and as a couple. It's a ceremony to make your heart sing, create an indelible 20-to-35 minutes of experience not soon (if ever) forgotten, and lets your Guests know — feel — for themselves the love you share that means choosing one another above all the rest.
Throughout the process, as your dedicated Wedding Officiant, I am at your disposal...happy to lend you the benefit of my experience.
After you've retained my officiant services (for a flat-fee; no "add-ons" such as for the Rehearsal) ... I send you each a Couple Questionnaire to fill out separately. With your answers, I then weave together your love story, expressed in your own words and through anecdotes.
But that's just the beginning. This is my full-time vocation, and you're my sole focus. So we're in frequent contact, especially as your wedding gets closer. About a week before your ceremony, I liaison with your other Vendors and Reader ... sending them each a relevant Cue Sheet so we're all working as a Team.
And if needed, I'll haul along and set up my own portable P.A. system so that your Guests may comfortably hear what's being said...especially outdoors.
There's more, but I think you are getting an idea of the bespoke service I provide to ensure that the only hitch in your Ceremony is that you're married when all is said and pronounced!
I travel throughout Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley to perform your ceremony at your chosen venue. My range includes Charlottesville and Albemarle county (where I lived in Batesville for 18 years). And extends to places in and around Staunton, Harrisonburg, Wintergreen, Nelson County, Orange, Lexington, George Washington National Forest, Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway, McGaheysville, the Omni Homestead in Bath county .... I'm also a deputized Wedding Officiant in Washington, D.C. Always up for an adventure, so try me!
Typically after a brief telephone chat about the basics of your wedding, the next step is for the three of us to arrange a meeting for a no-obligation free consult over coffee. (Due to distance, we may default to a video chat via FaceTime or Skype.) That's when we get down to envisioning your ceremony, and start throwing around ideas.
