In my hands, the ceremony is a celebration of your love. My specialty is designing and performing an inclusive, semi- or non-religious ceremony, from scratch, to reflect your unique view of things ... independently and as a couple. Written with a humorous, light-hearted touch, it's a ceremony to make your heart sing, create an indelible 20-to-35 minutes of giddy experience, and leave guests feeling renewed by your joyousness.
Throughout the process, as your dedicated Wedding Officiant, I am at your service ... happy to lend you the benefit of my experience.
After you've retained my officiant services (for a flat fee), I send you each a Couple Questionnaire to fill out separately. This is the raw material from which I custom craft a compelling narrative that takes you, and your guests, on a journey through one of life's most important passages, told in the language of your own heart and through anecdotes.
But that's just the beginning. This is my full-time vocation, and you're my prime focus. So we're in regular contact, especially as your wedding approaches. About a week before, I liaison with your other Vendors and Reader so we're all working as a Team.
And if needed, I'll haul along my own portable P.A. system so that your guests may comfortably hear what's being said, especially if outdoors.
There's more, but I think you're getting an idea of the bespoke service I provide to ensure that the only hitch in your Ceremony is that you're married when all is said and pronounced.
As a licensed Wedding Officiant for the Commonwealth of Virginia, I travel throughout Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley to perform your ceremony at your chosen venue. My range includes Charlottesville and Albemarle county, where I resided for 18 years. And extends to places in and around Staunton, Harrisonburg, Wintergreen, Nelson County, Orange, Lexington, George Washington National Forest, Luray, Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway, McGaheysville, the Omni Homestead in Bath... I'm also a deputized Wedding Officiant in Washington, D.C. Always up for an adventure, so try me!
Typically after a brief telephone chat about the basics of your wedding, the next step is for the three of us to arrange a meeting for a no-obligation free consult over coffee.
(Due to distance, we may default to a video chat via FaceTime or Skype.)
That's when we get down to envisioning your ceremony, and start throwing around ideas.
