It’s worth exploring Elvis’ diamond-shaped birthmark located on his upper thigh, bordering the groin area. With apologies to the squeamish, it is just too coincidental to the Reshel grid work I have done within the past six years.
Elvis’ birthmark was darkly pigmented with a crescent shape cut-out — like a negative — in the upper-left corner of the diamond. Birthmarks are often vestiges of past-life traumas. My son has a hyper-white, straight-line scar on his left buttocks, about four inches long, that curiously has been there since birth. Atova, our resident coin-throwing soothsayer, has told me that in a past life he was stabbed with a sword in battle during war. Something along the same lines happened to Elvis in a past life, according to Maia Nartoomid’s website elvislightedcandle.net.
Also, a distinct birthmark may denote royal lineage genetics that are conducive to supporting a being of much higher consciousness in its soul mission of planetary service, she says. Maia proposes that the wounded thigh is an archetypal symbol of someone appointed for spiritual service who is maimed so as to release illumination to the people. Jesus would be the ultimate example, the stigmata his crucifixion wounds.
In Grail Legends, the person releasing illumination to the people is the King, who has a thigh wound. This would be King Arthur, not the King of Rock n’ Roll. Arthur’s wound is bound up with the land becoming barren and subsequent Grail Quest. In ancient Celtic mythology, it is a search for the revelation of Divine Beauty, and its return to the land from whence it was lost. This according to Gareth Knight (I kid you not) in his excellent, riveting book, The Secret Tradition in Arthurian Legend.
To further a metaphor, also barren is Queen Guenevere who, unfulfilled by King Arthur, thus turns to Lancelot. (Many years ago in People or somewhere, I read that when Priscilla Presley — as a virginal teenager — came to live with Elvis at Graceland, he would lie with her in bed but would not have sex with her — a situation that seemed to frustrate her greatly. I don’t know how much better it got after the marriage.)
But the meaning of The Grail is open to many other interpretations, for instance, translating to “Royal Blood” from San Graal. In Chinese medicine, memory is stored in our human racial blood, embedded there for generations because of blood’s magnetic properties (iron). A large body of thought believes the Grail to be the Royal Blood of Jesus’ and Mary Magdalene’s descendants. My sister’s boyfriend is a Zero Balancing practitioner in Boulder, Colorado, and has a female client claiming to be the couple’s direct descendant. Which is not all it’s cracked up to be, apparently, as she has suffered sorrow after sorrow. But the woman is quite psychic. Anyway….
The Magdalene, meaning “Tower,” settled in the Languedoc region of France after Jesus’ passion and resurrection. In fact, I just drank a nice Bordeaux last night called “Magdeleine.” Her daughter, Sarah, is still celebrated every year by the Romany (gypsy people) as their patron saint in the town of Les Saintes Marie Sur Les Mere. Or if you can’t buy that, what about San Graal as the blood-line descendants of Jesus’ maternal uncle, Joseph of Arimathea — who some believe carried the Grail cup from The Last Supper over to Glastonbury, England.
It’s interesting to note regarding Elvis that Ptah was the god of Memphis, Egypt. “Ptah” means “Royal Blood,” says Dan Winter, in that it contains 11th dimensional DNA. One would be very psychic with DNA that switched on.
St. Bernard of Clairvaux was a towering figure himself, a Cistercian monk who reformed the monastic system and introduced the Cult of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the Church. In effect, St. Bernard himself was raising up an embodiment of The Divine Feminine (Beauty). A great mystic and organizer, Bernard of Clairvaux helped draw up the “Rule of the Knights Templar” in 1120, whom he considered to be a new breed of man with the courage of a soldier and the gentleness of a monk. The nine of them went on their own sort of Grail Quest to the Holy Land. “The Percivale by Malory is based closely on Le Grand San Graal, which was written very much under Cistercian influence,” according to Knight.
Grid work as concerns the Reshel is about restoring the Divine Feminine, for one — much as Bernard of Clairvaux sought to do and is doing in this lifetime. The disrespect, to put it mildly, hegemony, tyranny and legislating of women by men — which continues to this day, accelerated by “the right” — has left humankind out of balance for millennia. But there are those who are addressing the imbalance.
What this has to do with Elvis’ diamond-shaped and crescent birthmark is for next time.
